GOSANET Support Gov’t Effort to Fight COVID-19

Gosanet Foundation, a health NGO based in Adaklu District of the Volta Region has taken steps in ensuring that communities in the Adaklu District abide by President’s directives and WHO guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The NGO in collaboration with the Adaklu District Health Directorate was able to sensitize twenty-one (21) communities in the District using mobile van and community information centers.

Executive Director of Gosanet Foundation, Mr Samuel Atidzah in his visit to the communities said government has taken its steps to fight the spread of COVID-19, and it is now the responsibility of each and every one to follow the COVID-19 protocols to avoid its spread.

He said it has become necessary that they integrate COVID-19 into their activities to augment government’s efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

He reminded community members to stay at home, always wash their hands with soap under running water, avoid all social gathering and also observe the cough etiquette.

Adaklu District Health Promotion Officer, Madam Linda Buatsi reiterated the need for the COVID-19 protocols to be observed strictly as it has now become a serious one.

She added that health workers are doing their best to contain the spread of the virus, therefore communities must also play their roles effectively in order limit the spread of COVID-19.

Gosanet Foundation curtesy Regional Information Service Department took delivery of one thousand (1000) “Protect yourself from coronavirus” posters (large size) and two thousand (2000) “Protect yourself from coronavirus” posters (small size) in order to increase awareness on COVID-19 I the Adaklu and Agotime Ziope Districts of the Volta, Ghana.
