Community NHIS Sensitisation

Last year 2019 P4H collaborated with the Department of Social Welfare and Adaklu Anyigbe NHIS for identification and registration of indigents in the district. 516 indigents were identified and registered freely on NHIS. 641 community members were reached with NHIS messages during the 2020 community NHIS sensitisation. Gosanet P4H Team in sized the opportunity to integrate Corona Virus (COVID- 19) education as well.

Over 641 NHIS membership Handbooks were shared with the participants in all five P4H communities.

The objective of the activity was, to increase renewals of expired cards for National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) renewals/registration in the past 12 months in the project district. 198 indigents were able to renew their expired NHIS cards successfully during the sensitization in the five P4H project communities.

With funding from the USAID, the SEND GHANA consortium is implementing a project title; People for Health (P4H). The SEND GHANA consortium comprises SEND GHANA, Penplusbytes, and Ghana News Agency (GNA).
