He said its entry into the district was also aimed at enabling the Foundation to scale-up its proven interventions and to efficiently operate in the various communities to make the desired lasting improvement in the lives of the people.

He added that the community is at the heart of the NGOs strategic development projects, especially issues related to health and education, adding that Gosanet Foundation had made a remarkable impact in the lives of many in the Adaklu District who had been reached through its various health promotion activities.

Dufia of AdakluKodzobi, TogbuiDegblede IV applauded Gosanet Foundation for their efforts in improving lives of the people, especially in the areas of education, healthcare delivery and expressed the hope that its presence in the district would facilitate quality health care among rural communities.

He, however, used the opportunity and appealed to the Foundation to bring on board interventions that would improve and strengthen the socio-economic capacity of the vulnerable in the community so that poverty rate can be reduced.

On his part, Chief of AdakluGoefe, TogbuiSasraku III, expressed his outfit’s commitment and readiness to work hand-in-hand with the NGO and urged the management of Gosanet Foundation not to hesitate to knock at his doors for support in times of difficulties.

Gosanet Foundation is currently spearheading the People for Health (P4H) Project in the Adaklu District being implemented by a consortium of three; SEND-Ghana, Penplusbytes, and Ghana News Agency with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Recently, Adaklu District Citizen Monitoring Committee, led by its chairman, Mr. Samuel Atidzah who also doubles as the Executive Director of Gosanet Foundation embarked on five days community outreach programme in five communities in the district.

About 760 people from five communities namely; AdakluWumenu, Tsrefe, Kodzobi, Torda and AdakluWaya who benefited from the programme received education on the National Health Insurance Scheme, Ghana Health Service Patients’ Charter and code of ethics. Some were also registered under the NHIS while others were given the opportunity to renew their cards.
